Hillary Casavant is the recipient of a 2022 Mass Cultural Council Artist Fellowship for fiction. She was also honored with a Somerville Arts Council Artist Fellowship for literature in both 2022 and 2019. Since graduating with her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Central Florida, where she also received the 2012 Outstanding Fiction Writing Award, Hillary published several craft articles in The Writer magazine and presented at the Association of Writers & Writing Programs Annual Conference in 2013. Her fiction and poetry have appeared in American Girl Magazine and Amoskeag. An alumna of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Hillary currently works in higher education communications. She is completing a literary novel on birds, a woman’s place in history, and how love and loss define us.
